Neo-Gothic Armoire, circa 1870

This beautiful armoire with a Gothic flair was made in Russia in the 1870’s. The two spacious drawers below afford extra storage. This cabinet was constructed entirely with dove-tail and mortise & tenon joints, no nails or screws! The back and doors were made with beveled, floating panels. The interior shelving is original. It has a multitude of carved wooden pegs below the interior ceiling which were intended for hanging clothes (before the advent of coat hangers). A hanging rod could easily be added. We would be happy to modify the interior for any purpose that you require
